A man in a God of Wealth costume was seen walking around the Bugis area without exchanging greetings with people. STOMPer Emily felt his behaviour was 'suspicious' and the man was also stopped by three policemen.
Said the STOMPer:
"Suspicious 'Cai Shen Ye'?
"It is not uncommon to see Lion Dance or 'Cai Shen Ye' around in shopping malls or events during the Chinese New Year period.
"However, at around 5pm along Victoria Street near Bugis, a 'Cai Shen Ye' was stopped by 3 policemen in the middle of the street, drawing many stares from onlookers and passer-bys.
"Before that, 'Cai Shen Ye' was walking around the area and also entering shops like a normal customer instead of greeting shop owners and giving them Chinese New Year well-wishes like other 'Cai Shen Ye's do.
"Hence it seems unusual that he was walking alone along the streets and he does not seem to be working but rather, walking around leisurely like a normal passer-by.
"Hence, when he was stopped by the police, it set people wondering if he was actually a 'fraud' under the outfit or he was wearing the costume for 'fun' or perhaps, a 'Cai Shen Ye' that was slacking. What do you think ?"

Probably they want to add-on on their kota ... :)
So you mean that OUR SAFETY can be disregarded when there is a festive season?
It is only right for them to do so.
Their job is to ENSURE SAFETY.
So is it wrong to protect you?
It is not like they arrest that man for dressing up like that in Bugis, or rather the picture only shows that he was talking to the police officers.
Get it right.
