Database ad: StarHub doesn't disclose customer info to unauthorised 3rd parties

A STOMPer received a fax which carried a StarHub email, advertising database sales. StarHub has since clarified that they did not send out the fax advertisement and they do not disclose customer information to unauthorised third parties.

Said the StarHub spokesperson in an email (Feb 3):

"We refer to STOMPer Myra’s post dated 1 February 2012 (How can? Person with StarHub email address advertises sales of databases) and would like to thank her for the feedback.

"We would like to clarify that the fax advertisement was not sent out by StarHub.

"StarHub does not solicit buyers of our customer information.

"We adhere strictly to our confidentiality obligations under the Telecoms Code, and we do not disclose our customer information to unauthorised third parties."
