Two STOMPers gave mixed views about how a local bar is offering free drinks to busty women -- the bigger your chest, the more free drinks you get. While one STOMPer said the gimmick is degrading to women, another feels that it is all in the name of good fun.
The promotion, which was featured in The New Paper, was for an event at OverEasy at One Fullerton called Fill My Cups. The event got its name because the guest deejay for the event was Australian DJ DCUP.
According to the report, female guests with an A-cup bra size get one free drink, B-cups get two, C-cups get three and D-cups get the bottle of vodka for free.
STOMPer boobytrap says the stunt is distasteful and degrading to women.
She said:
"As a woman, I would feel ashamed to go there and reveal my cup size, just for a free drink.
"Why is it whenever somebody comes up with a sexy idea for a publicity stunt, it's always women who become the bait?
"It makes us women look so cheap, revealing our private assets for the pleasure of lusty men, just to get free drinks."
STOMPer Cupenter, on the other hand, thinks that it was a very creative marketing idea.
He said:
"I think it's really creative. We have to admit that sexy ads sell.
"And I think it's all in the name of good, clean fun.
"We're not in the Stone Age anymore, women should be proud of their bodies. If they've got it, why not flaunt it?
"But I do wonder why the promotion was for women only. They should have a size competition for men as well.
"Maybe free booze for bigger biceps?"
