STOMPer Wei Liang noticed a cargo van emitting clouds of grey smoke from its bonnet after crashing into the rear-end of a vehicle in front of it.
Said the STOMPer:
"This was the aftermath of a rear-end accident involving a cargo van that had collided into the rear-end of a saloon car (Toyota Altis) along 800 Corporation Road, beside Jurong Junior College.
"This incident occurred yesterday at around 2pm.
"There were SCDF personnel at the scene, but I didn't see anyone injured.
"I do hope that all drivers & passengers involved in this RTA are in good health."
When contacted, a spokesperson from SCDF said:
"SCDF received a call yesterday at 2.04pm informing us that a van was on fire at Corporation Road.
"We sent for two fire bikes and one fire engine.
"Upon arrival, the van was in flames. We used a hose reel and extinguished the fire within 5 minutes.
"No one was injured.
"The cause of the fire is still under investigation."
