Constance Chee, who dropped out of university to pursue a flying career with SIA, took up with married karung guni man (rag-and-bone man) Ng Eng Tong, Sindee Neo's father.

The pair later broke up, but a disagreement over $40 000 Mr Neo apparently owed her continued.

Then on 7 Oct 2004, Constance Chee abducted Sindee from the family home in Block 1,Telok Blangah Crescent.

The girl was later found lying at the bottom of her block.

On 24 Jan 2005, Constance was convicted of intentionally causing the girl to fall from an unknown floor of the block.

7 October 2004


Four-year-old Sindee Neo is thrown off one of the high floors of Block 1 in Telok Blangah Crescent at 4.44am.

Sindee suffers a fractured jaw and serious head injuries. Despite surgery, Sindee remains in critical condition.

35-year-old Constance Chee Cheong Hin, unemployed, is arrested shortly after.

8 October 2004


Constance Chee is charged with attempted murder.

She does not show any emotion and stares blankly ahead when the charge is read out to her.

Police continue their investigations into what happened the day before.

Meanwhile, Sindee Neo fights for her life in KK Women's and Children's Hospital.

12 October 2004

Sindee dies from her injuries.

Police indicate they will amend the charge against Constance Chee from attempted murder to murder.
